- Jane Eyre Charlotte Brontë's 1847 classic novel follows the story of Jane Eyre, an orphan who survives neglect and abuse to become a governess at the remote Thornfield Hall.
- Cane presents the 1923 ground-breaking modernist novel by noted Harlem Renaissance author, Jean Toomer.
