In this step, you will learn how to communicate Discovery Education to all stakeholders to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for teachers, staff, and families.
In order to successfully implement Discovery Education in your school or district, communication is KEY! Not only should you share the resources throughout these five steps with your teachers and staff, you will want to extend that knowledge to students and their parents.
Discovery Education provides our partners several communication templates to support implementation in your school or district. The flyers, designed to announce your partnership with Discovery Education, meet the needs of any audience - whether it's sharing with the administrators in your district, teachers in your school(s), or your parents. The parent flyer has also been translated to several languages.
In addition to the flyer, we offer timely and relevant newsletter snippets that you can take and share with your teachers. Share tips and tricks, timely content, or general best practices with Discovery Education.
In addition, ensure your teachers are ready to use Discovery Education resources with their students by introducing them to the Teacher Support Channel within the Professional Learning Center as well as our SOS Instructional Strategies as a way to hook students into their learning.
And, finally, welcome to the Discovery Educator Network (DEN)! Every day, members of the DEN Community are having rich discussions, sharing best practices, contributing customizable ready-to-go instructional resources, and connecting in-person and virtually through professional learning experiences. Be sure to join the conversations and encourage your teachers and staff to do the same!
