How do I view as a student?
As a teacher, Canvas offers the ability to view a resource or assignment as a student through their "Student View" tool. However, this functionality is not supported by Discovery Education and it’s recommended that Teachers “View as Student” from within the Discovery Education platform.
You can view embedded Discovery Education resources as a student in the following ways:
- Many Discovery Education resources allow teachers to preview content as a student directly within the embedded view in Canvas. When available, this option is typically found in the resource’s ellipses menu. For certain resources, such as Techbook pages, this feature may appear more prominently on the screen.
- Additionally, teachers can log into Discovery Education using student impersonation, a feature that enables you to experience the platform exactly as a student would. This is especially helpful for understanding the student interface and managing assignments. To learn more, visit Impersonate a Student.
