How do I access my curriculum?
If your school or district has access to more than one Science Techbook course, select the desired grade level from the Course menu in the top action bar. This Course menu takes you to the Overview page.
When you first land on the Overview page, you can explore the course from the left-hand side menu, or from the grid menu on the right.

The following are key terms used in Science Techbook*:
- Course: The overall course of study in an academic area.
- Unit: Each course is organized into standards-aligned cohesive units that can be arranged in various sequences to meet your district's need. Each unit includes concepts that are strategically bundled, ensuring students will uncover all core scientific content.
- Concepts/Lessons: Concepts/Lessons within each unit are structured with lessons/activities that follow a logical development of student understanding and acquisition of specific core science ideas. Please note that the terms Concept and Lesson are interchangeable, and the terms Lesson and Activity are interchangeable, and vary depending on the program you're licensed to.

- Grid: Grid view organizes content into a grid-like structure and allows you to view content in a series of tiles.
- List: List view allows you to view lesson-level standards and student expectations.
Review the Teacher Overview
Educator supports are bundled and accessible from the Teacher Overview card, located at the beginning of every Lesson or Concept (The term used is dependent on the program you're licensed to.). These provide a holistic view of the upcoming content.
Choose a Lesson or Concept
Within each Unit, dive into Lessons or Concepts (The term used is dependent on the program you're licensed to.) that are purposely scaffolded to support student understanding of science ideas and follow the 5E model to promote active student learning: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate.
