Instructional support is a flexible, educator-focused service designed to provide real-time guidance and feedback. While it’s not a formal professional learning session, it plays a key role in helping teachers apply what they’ve learned to their classroom practice.
What to Expect from Instructional Support
These synchronous, remote sessions are led by a Discovery Education Professional Learning Facilitator and are designed to:
- Support educators as they plan lessons using engaging digital content.
- Align content with your school’s curriculum.
- Integrate effective instructional strategies that promote collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
Ideal Use Cases
Instructional support sessions are perfect for:
- Grade-level or content-area PLCs.
- One-on-one planning conferences.
- Small group lesson development.
- Any group of up to 10 educators working toward a shared instructional goal.
Before You Begin
To get the most out of instructional support, we recommend scheduling a professional learning session (such as DEX01 or DEX02) beforehand. This ensures educators have a strong foundation before diving into lesson planning and strategy application.
