Embed Discovery Education resources and assessments in Infinite Campus to keep all of your learning in a single place for students.
How do I create Assignments with Discovery Education resources?
Teachers can add Discovery Education resources to new Infinite Campus assignments to engage students in their learning in a single place.
To include a Discovery Education resource in an assignment, follow these steps:
- Select on Grade Book from the left-side panel.
- Select +Add to create a new assignment.
- Complete the assignment information including Name, Abbreviation, Sections, Category, Standard/Grading Task, and any other options necessary.
- Select For Students to open that section.
- Select a template, if necessary, and add your student directions in the box.
- Select External Learning Tool to include a Discovery Education resource.
- Select Discovery Education.
- Select Search Resources.
- Enter your keyword in the search bar and find the resource you wish to use. Select +Embed. This adds the resource to the assignment.
- Select Save and then Close.
How do I create Assessments with Discovery Education resources?
Teachers can add Discovery Education assessments to their Infinite Campus assignments, as well.
Note: In order for students to see resources shared or assigned within Infinite Campus, they must be logged into Discovery Education.
Partners who have any of our Techbook products - Math, Science, Social Studies - will see assessments appear in this option. If you do not have access to our Techbook products, you can create assessments in our Assessment Builder tool or in Studio (by adding assessment modules to a board or slideshow) and they will appear for sharing with students.
To add a Discovery Education assessment, create an assignment from the Gradebook page, then:
- Select External Learning Tool to include a Discovery Education resource.
- Select Discovery Education.
- Select Add Assessments.
- Select your desired assessment:
- Techbook Partners should filter down to the course and concept to find the appropriate assessment (as shown below).
- Non-Techbook Partners should select from their own assessments at the top.
- Select +Embed on the resource. The resource appears as a separate item in the module.
Once students complete the assessment, a teacher can open their Infinite Campus gradebook to see the grades. Grades can be adjusted in the gradebook as with any other Infinite Campus assignment.

Adding Discovery Education resources and assessments into Infinite Campus provides students a one-stop place to experience the content in engaging ways.

Viewing Resources
When a student selects the resource from an assignment, the resource opens in a separate tab. Students engage with the resource in that tab and then return to Infinite Campus, as necessary.
Viewing Assessments
Assessments open in a separate tab. Students select Take Assessment to begin. They move through the assessment and answer the questions. Once they are all answered, they select Submit. This takes them to a results screen. They review any computer-scored items. They can switch between the items to view their results. Additionally, wrong answers display some remediation resources from inside Discovery Education to support the student in learning more about the topic.
For assessments, the grade automatically appears in the student and teacher gradebook.
