Ensuring your user accounts, classrooms, and rosters are accurate from one school year to another is an important piece of maximizing your experience with Discovery Education. Depending on how you send us data, this process varies. Select your integration type from the choices on the right.
Clever Integration
If you utilize our Clever integration, our system automatically updates to reflect changes made in Clever, including archiving classes.
API Technologies (Google, OneRoster, etc.)
If you utilize one of our other integrations, connect with our Education Support Team at education_info@discoveryed.com for specific guidance on maintaining accurate data.
Bulk Imports with .CSV Files
If you update your users, classes, and rosters using our Bulk Import Tool, you can also modify user information (such as grade level) and status (such as archive) through the same .CSV files. In order to do this:
- Access the My Admin section through the tile on your My DE homepage.
- From the top menu, select Tools, then User Import.
- Select the History tab.
- Export any rosters where you need to archive users or classes or modify data.
- In the .CSV file, update columns based on your needs:
- In the Status column of the .CSV file(s), change the number for any user or class you'd like to archive:
- 0 = Archive User or Class
- 1 = Active User or Class
- In the Student.csv file, update the Grade column for the students' new grade.
- In the Status column of the .CSV file(s), change the number for any user or class you'd like to archive:
- Save the .CSV file.
- Select the Import tab and upload your new file.
Archive Classes at the Teacher Level
Alternatively, teachers can archive their Discovery Education classes within their own individual account. To do this, access Classrooms from your My DE homepage, then All Classrooms, then select Archive from the Actions dropdown.
