Getting Started with Text Passwords
Teachers can set or reset the Direct Login text passwords for all students in a classroom using the Bulk Reset Password tool. When teachers generate student passwords in bulk, they can also save a classroom list of student usernames and passwords.
|
Teachers: Before you set or reset passwords for your class, make sure you understand the following:
|
Opening the Classrooms Page
- If you don't see the navigation pane on the left side of the screen, click the Global Nav icon on your Homepage.
- When the navigation pane opens, select Classrooms.
Generating and Saving Student Direct Login Passwords for a Classroom
- When the All Classrooms page opens, click the three dots next to the classroom you need to update and select Bulk reset password.
- When Bulk Reset Password window opens, select a password creation method and then select Continue.
- When the Bulk Reset Password window updates, review the students selected and type new passwords (if you selected Manually create text passwords), and then click Generate Student Passwords.
- When the Bulk Reset Password window updates, select Download Student Passwords to create and save student passwords and login slips for this classroom. Follow the prompts on your screen to save the passwords in a place that will be easy to find on your device.
Note: The saved document will show all the information your students need to log in. We recommend naming this document something to help you remember when you created the passwords, like "Student DE Login info and Credentials.10.10.2025"
Note: Do not skip this step. This is the only time teachers will be able to save these student passwords.
Printing Student Direct Login Usernames and Passwords for a Classroom
To view and print the Direct Login student usernames and passwords for your class, open the student credentials document you saved when you generated new passwords for your classroom. Follow the prompts on your device to print the document.
