Discovery Education text resources open in a PDF viewer window which includes additional features such as read aloud, page ruler, and page mask.
Read Aloud
The read aloud feature will read the entire document - including headers, image metadata, and body text. The gear also provides read aloud settings which can be modified to meet the needs of the student including speed, highlight colors, font type, etc. This provides students the opportunity to follow along with a text while also listening to support various levels of text for students.
Reading Ruler & Page Mask
To provide additional supports to growing readers, a reading ruler and page mask are available for our text resources. These benefit students by providing a focus to the part of the page they are reading.
