Students can sign into Discovery Education on a laptop, desktop computer, or Chromebook in several ways. This article walks through each student sign-in method.
Student Sign-In Methods

Students sign in using Google Classrooms, ClassLink, Microsoft, or Clever using district-managed usernames and passwords. |
Students sign in using the Discovery Education Login page, using teacher-managed usernames and passwords. |

Preparing to Help a Student Sign In
Make sure you know the following before you help a student sign in:

Which method the student/s use to sign in.
The Discovery Education, Clever, ClassLink, or alternate URL (sign-in website)
- Student credentials (username and password or QR code)
Families: Where Can I Find My Child's Username, Password, or QR Code?
You should have received sign-in instructions from your student's teacher, including the URL for the login page they should open and their username and password or QR code. If your child is seeing an error when they try to sign in, please reach out to the school or your child's teacher.

Opening the Discovery Education Login Page
All students can sign in on the Discovery Education Login Page, regardless of which sign-in method they should use.
To open the Login page:
- Open a web browser like (Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari), navigate to discoveryeducation.com or discoveryeducation.ca and click the Log In button.
- When the Select Role page opens, select Student. This will open the Discovery Education Login page.
- After the Login page opens, sign in following the steps for the sign-in method your student/s use/s. Click a link below to jump to the directions for a sign-in method.
Signing In Using Single Sign-On (SSO)
After you have opened the Discovery Education Login page, select the single sign-on method students use at your school. When the new login page opens, enter the student's credentials to sign in.

Signing In Using Direct Login
- After you have opened the Discovery Education Login page, enter the student’s Discovery Education username and select Continue.
Enter the student’s Discovery Education password and select Sign in.
Signing In Using QR Code
- After you have opened the Discovery Education Login page, select Use QR Code.
- When the QR Sign-In Page opens, you may need to allow Discovery Education access to your device's camera.
- When camera permissions are allowed, hold up the QR code to the device camera and frame it inside the box on the login page.
- After the camera reads the QR code, the student's Discovery Education homepage will open.

What Should I Do If I Don't Know Which Method to Use?
If you aren't sure how a student should sign in to Discovery Education, use the Search My School button.
- After you have opened the Discovery Education Login page, select Search for my school.
- When the Search your School page opens, type the school name into the search field and select your school from the search results.
- After you select your school, the page updates to show the sign-in methods students can use. Select the option you want to use to sign in the student. (The image below is of a student who could use Direct Login or QR Code to sign in.)
